America, the beautiful

Oh beautiful

For spacious skies

For amber waves of grain

For purple mountain majesties

Above the fruited plain

But now wait a minute, I'm taking about

America

Sweet America

You know, God done shed his grace on thee

He crowned thy good, yes he did

In a brotherhood

From sea to shining sea

A baseball card ode to the best version of one of America's oldest songs, and a tribute to what might be my single favorite scene in cinema history.

Happy 239th birthday, America!

And a safe and happy Independence Day to all of you out there!
