We had a close one last week.
Win -- 1992 Stadium Club #507 Jay Bell (10 votes)
Place (tie) -- 1989 Fleer #510 Jerry Reuss, 1994 Topps #511 Devon White (9 votes each)
Show -- 1975 Topps #505 Chris Speier (6 votes)
In a page with a slew of terrific contestants, Jay Bell came out with the narrow victory. He took ten of the 41 total votes, edging out both Jerry Reuss and Devon White by just one tally.
My vote went to Mr. White (it's one of my favorite cards in this entire frankenset), but I certainly don't have any qualms about Bell taking the crown.
There aren't many better double dips in my frankenset binder.
It is my pleasure to introduce a very special group of Opening Night hopefuls for all of you today.
It's the fourth consecutive complete page we've seen.
