What was an insane week for the rest of the world ended up being a fairly drama-free round of frankenset voting -- none of the matchups were all that close, and even the lone upset (Neagle over Rodriguez) was an easy victory.
It's also nice to know that the only manager to win a frankenset page (Bill Rigney) survived into the second round, given that most managers don't get the most exciting cards.
--------------------
And with that, the first round is complete!
Much thanks to everyone who voted -- now, without further ado, let's go all the way back to the Cowan Region to kick off the second round of the frankenset bracket.
#1 (Page 68) -- 1972 Topps #611 Rich Reese
VS.
#8 (Page 37) -- 1996 Stadium Club #333 Jay Buhner
#4 (Page 62) -- 1973 Topps #555 Bill Hands
VS.
#5 (Page 58) -- 1996 Collector's Choice #522 John Smiley
#6 (Page 61) -- 1999 Fleer SI Greats of the Game #53 Joe Rudi
VS.
#14 (Page 32) -- 1998 Stadium Club #284 Sean Berry
#2 (Page 10) -- 1992 Studio #86 Jose Lind
VS.
#7 (Page 29) -- 1977 Topps #255 George Scott
That's it for this week's matchups -- the polls are now on the sidebar.
Happy voting!

For me this round was an easy one.
You could kind of say two managers made it out of that round with Tommy Lasorda making a cameo on the Bob Ojeda card. Actually, now that I think about it, Ojeda doesn't make it out of that round without Lasorda.
Hate to see Aurelio Rodriguez go!
Like Johnny... I felt like this round was pretty easy. I'm hoping Rudi eventually makes it to the finals. That's such an awesome card.
With the cancellation of March Madness, I'm really looking forward to this bracket over the next few weeks.
Denny Neagle looks like the Homer going into the bushes meme.
