Ninety feet away (plus some stuff for trade)

This is going to be another two-parter. Don't worry, I won't make a habit of it.

In one of my recent posts, I lamented at the fact that there were almost no baseball cards that pictured a runner taking his lead off third base. I thought the Rickey Henderson card from that post was the only one I owned.

I was wrong.

While flipping through my Twins binder, I came across this beauty. I forgot I even had this card.

From the looks of it, a Twins player has just hit a ground ball. Doug Mientkiewicz is deciding whether or not he should try to score or play it safe while a White Sox player looks on in the foreground.

See why these cards are so great? There's a right way and a wrong way to make horizontal cards. This is the right way.

I like the Rickey Henderson one better, but not by much. Both of 'em are awesome. Any of my readers have any other "ninety feet away" cards in their collection?

Who knows, maybe there's still a few others lurking somewhere in my binders.

With the bottomless pit that is my baseball card collection, I'm sure there are.

Okay, on to part two of the post.

I've got these doubles left over from The Greatest Christmas Gift Ever.

They've just been collecting dust in my room for the last month.

I know the condition isn't great on a couple of them, but I figure someone can put them to better use than I could.

I'm just looking for a decent-sized stack of Ryan Dempster base, inserts, or parallels in return to help bolster my new collection of his. Or maybe some hits to my set needs.

Please help me find a good home for these cards!

  1. I'll try and find some stuff you need for sets for 'em. I'll let you know what I come up with.
