The (Second) Dime Box Frankenset Bracket: Palmer Region (Pt. 2)

Let's see how last week's matchups played out.

#1 (Page 60) -- 1975 Topps #533 Rudy Meoli (20 votes)

def.

#16 (Page 27) -- 1974 Topps #238 Fran Healy (16 votes)

#8 (Page 50) -- 1994 Stadium Club #448 Erik Pappas (22 votes)

def.

#9 (Page 44) -- 2001 UD Victory #396 Wilton Guerrero (15 votes)

#5 (Page 1) -- 2018 Stadium Club #9 Zack Godley (23 votes)

def.

#12 (Page 67) -- 1969 Topps #603 Joe Keough (13 votes)

#4 (Page 54) -- 1996 Collector's Choice #484 Rex Hudler (25 votes)

def.

#13 (Page 21) -- 1977 Topps #187 Dick Pole (11 votes)

Not much drama here: we didn't see a single upset last week, and all the winners won fairly comfortably (with the 1-vs.-16 matchup actually being the closest of the bunch).

Between a dude eating, a dude diving into a swimming pool, and a dude milking a cow, I'd say this is already shaping up to be the most diverse region of the bracket.

And so we've come to the final four matchups of the bracket's first round -- after this we'll have the field narrowed down to 32.

Let's see the what's waiting with the rest of the Palmer Region.

#6 (Page 28) -- 1983 Fleer #249 Aurelio Rodriguez

VS.

#11 (Page 47) -- 1993 Upper Deck #415 Denny Neagle

#3 (Page 35) -- 1995 Upper Deck #312 Steve Buechele

VS.

#14 (Page 53) -- 1991 Score #475 Andy Van Slyke

#7 (Page 33) -- 1963 Topps #294 Bill Rigney

VS.

#10 (Page 15) -- 2001 Ultra #132 Matt Stairs

#2 (Page 74) -- 1992 Upper Deck #666 Bob Ojeda

VS.

#15 (Page 26) -- 1973 Topps #231 Bill Parsons

That's it for this week -- the polls are now on the sidebar.

Happy voting!

  1. The Angels sure do have some interesting cards, don't they? And I don't remember seeing that Neagle before; it reminds me of the Homer Simpson gif.

  2. This is a rare occasion. All four of my votes actually fell in line with the current vote leaders.

  3. That Matt Stairs card is just plain wrong. If you do a deadball throwback uniform, you can't wear a helmet. It looks stupid.
