In terms of Italian-American ballplayers think about this set:<br />http://canthavetoomanycards.blogspot.com/2010/08/sons-of-italy-cards-favorites.html<br />http://canthavetoomanycards.blogspot.com/2010/08/sons-of-italy-cards-dimaggios.html<br /><br />Hackenbushhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15507810776309048794noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5342310663064800554.post-55208570864464399782012-10-11T07:43:14.238-05:002012-10-11T07:43:14.238-05:00I try to do the same with players with Portuguese ...I try to do the same with players with Portuguese heritage. That's why Mark Teixeira is my favourite player and the few players I collect every card I can get apart from the team he's playing for. And what makes me laugh is how English speakers try to pronounce Latin names.Ana Luhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03920996724958583647noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5342310663064800554.post-4805827416853465312012-10-10T20:46:19.152-05:002012-10-10T20:46:19.152-05:00My heritage has a few branches that run back to It...My heritage has a few branches that run back to Italy (I think my great great great great great grandmother was 100% Italian). It's kind of happened that two of my favorite Padres are Archi Cianfrocco (born in Rome... NY) and Chris Denorfia (who was also on the WBC team w/Catalanotto). I was surprised to see Paul Konerko in there as well, also a favorite of mine. I was expecting to see a lot of names from the "olden-days" of DiMaggio and Rizzuto, but there are a pretty good amount of current players on that list as well. Great post.Marcushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10439278650702057885noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5342310663064800554.post-32971030679156560372012-10-10T20:30:16.856-05:002012-10-10T20:30:16.856-05:00That is a very cool idea!
